Returning on October 13, 2009: AIA Documents on Demand

On October 13th, the AIA will publically release AIA Documents on Demand, a web-based service that allows users to purchase and download individual forms and agreements in PDF format which they can fill out electronically. The documents available include 16 of the most popular selections from the AIA Contract Document library. This service is ideal for MAC users or those that only use a few contracts per year.

New AIA Contract Documents: April 2009

AIA Contract Documents version 4.0 includes both revisions of the CMa and CMc documents and improvements in the AIA Contract Documents software.

The following are the new documents along with the documents they are replacing:

  • A134™–2009 (formerly A131™CMc–2003) Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Construction Manager as Constructor where the basis of payment is the Cost of the Work Plus a Fee without a Guarantee Maximum Price

Note that the following Construction Manager as Adviser (CMa) documents will expire on December 31, 2010: A101™, A201™, A511™, B141™, B801™, G702™, G722™. The following Construction Manager as Constructor (CMc) documents will expire on May 31, 2010: A121™ and A131™.

In addition, the latest AIA Contract Documents software release delivers greater ease-of-use, Microsoft Excel functionality and enhanced document management tools as well as access to the revised Construction Manager documents.
